Deadline: PYC Adult Mentor Applications

The Presbyterian Youth Ministry Collaboration of Atlanta (PYMCoA) would like to invite you or someone in your congregation who has a knack for youth ministry to engage with the revamping of PYC! Traditionally, youth councils for presbyteries include several high school youth who are involved in their individual congregations and a few adult mentors through the presbytery who promote and implement events for other youth throughout the presbytery and community.

How you can help right now!

As we move forward, our greatest immediate need is identifying adult mentors! We are looking for folks who already have a heart for youth ministry (this does NOT have to be staff members in congregations), can encourage student leaders, and can help provide guidance and continuity as the council gets established in their respective regions.

We also hope you will begin to spread the word and excitement about PYC to all! If we can get the buzz going now, then by the time we have our first retreat at the Calvin Center the first weekend in November, it will be smooth sailing with our youth and adult leaders!

Would you be interested in serving as an adult mentor, or do you know someone in your congregation who would be a great fit? If so, please reach out to Mary Moore Driggers at marymoore.d@firstpresptc.org or (864)419-3088 with name and contact information.

Deadline: We need PYC Mentor Applications by April 1.

Youth Applications Coming Soon!

Please also note: We plan to send youth council applications to each church by the end of the 2025-2026 school year for high schoolers who are interested in serving. We are excited to invite youth leaders from across our congregations into this collaborative work of planning and leading ministry together. If you already have a youth in mind, feel free to start sharing with them about this opportunity and how they would be a great fit.

Deadline: We need Youth Applications by July 1.

Thank you again for your partnership, prayers, and support as we work to build something meaningful for the youth of our presbytery. We are happy to answer any questions and would love to hear your ideas and recommendations.
