This is an official notification to the Presbytery for a Called Meeting to be held on October 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Shallowford Presbyterian Church located 2375 Shallowford Road NE, Atlanta 30345.

The purpose of the called meeting is to act on the request from the Session of Korean Community Presbyterian Church to ask the Presbytery to assume original jurisdiction over the session for the specific purpose of their current judicial process.  The history to this situation is found in the paperwork for the call below.

It is vital that we have a quorum for this meeting to support the session of Korean Community Church.  Those individuals who were elected as elders for the August 17, 2019 are still commissioners unless the session has already elected different commissioners for the upcoming November 12, 2019 stated meeting.  Of course, a session may elect different elders for this particular meeting if you have time.

Our quorum is 10% of churches represented, 10% of minister members and 10% elders.

Commissioner Handbook

The commissioner handbook will be available October 29th.

All the business of the Presbytery is contained in the Commissioner Handbook. The handbook is divided into two sections:

The first section details items that commissioners (consisting of clergy and designated congregational members), will need to take action upon (called “For Recommendation”) and items for your information (called “Admit to Record”). Admit to Record items come from various committees and entities of the Presbytery that wish to inform you of things they are working on or committee actions they are empowered to take. Admit to Record items need to be in the permanent record of the Presbytery’s minutes and are archived by the Stated Clerk.

The second section (if present) will contain addendum items, such as first readings of policies that the Presbytery will be considering or other resource materials.

Meeting Highlights are written by the Stated Clerk detailing brief, but important aspects or happenings at a particular meeting of the Presbytery. They serve as materials for information only.
