Since 1984, the Hunger Walk/Run has been an annual 5K/“fun run” of The Atlanta Community Food Bank and its Benefiting Partners, including the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta!

In Their Shoes—COAC’s annual fundraiser—returns on Saturday, April 18, 2026, and Early Bird registration is officially open!

What Is In Their Shoes?

In Their Shoes is a meaningful, family-friendly two-mile walk that brings our mission to life in a powerful and experiential way. Guided by COAC staff, participants walk through real-world touchpoints our guests navigate as they work toward stability—including a visit to the nearby Department of Driver Services, where many guests begin their journey by securing a state ID or driver’s license.

Together, we step into the realities our guests face and see firsthand how advocacy, essential services, and community support open doors to hope and opportunity.
