Civil Rights History at Covenant Presbyterian Church
On Sunday, April 26 at 12:30 PM, Covenant Presbyterian Church (2461 Peachtree Rd. NE) is hosting a special presentation on the church's role in Atlanta's Civil Rights history. Local historian Ethel Ware Carter will discuss the legacy of former pastor Rev. Dr. Herman Turner, who courageously led 80 white clergy members to sign the historic Minister's Manifesto during the school integration period. The community is invited to learn about this stabilizing force in southern desegregation. Lunch will be provided. All are welcome! RSVP office@covpresatl.org

The Race, Ethnicity, and Diversity Team at Oakhurst Presbyterian Church would like to invite you to a community event with Kamal Carter, president of A Long Talk , an organization dedicated to eradicating racism and systems of oppression.

The event is free and open to the community. Lunch will follow for those that can stay.
The focus of the event will be to Educate, Equip, and Activate. In preparation for the event, watch the video History of Race in America and submit a Response as you are able.
