Racial Healing Committee (previously Dismantling Racism)
Membership and Terms of Service
There are nine members (Teaching Elders, Ruling Elders, and Lay Persons). Members serve in three classes of three for a three-year term. Members are eligible for reelection for a total of two terms/six years. (Co-opted members are also welcome.)
Requirements The Dismantling Racism Committee is a newly formed committee of the presbytery. The goal of the committee will be to help our presbytery live into one of the focal areas of being a Matthew 25 Presbytery. They will work together to support, train, and educate members of our presbytery in the journey of racial healing, equity, and inclusion. The Executive Presbyter is the staff liaison for this committee.
Meetings
All meetings will be held virtually until further notice.
