What is a chartered church/congregation within the Presbyterian Church (USA)?
The Presbytery of Greater Atlanta includes 80+ chartered churches, a church who has gone through a chartering process to be recognized as an organized/established congregation of and in covenant with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Please scroll down to explore a current listing of chartered churches within our presbytery.
There are also 30+ unchartered new worshiping communities/new church developments within our presbytery, which are under care of the New Church Development Commission. To learn more about the NCDC and view a current listing of communities under care, visit the NCDC website.
