Small & Mighty Zoom

Association of Smaller Congregations
Small & Mighty Monthly Zoom Conversation

Tuesday, March 3rd at 7 pm ET / 6 pm CT

Topic: Making the Most of Polity in Small Churches

Sometimes it can feel like Presbyterian polity must be stretched and squeezed to make things fit for small churches, but small churches are also used to stretching resources to make the most of the gifts we have and figuring out how things designed for a different space can work. Join us for a conversation about ways that small churches (and the presbyteries that love them!) can use Presbyterian polity to support and extend the ministry and mission of our smaller congregations.

Presenter: Rev. Andy James

Rev. C. Anderson (Andy) James serves as the Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. In this role, he is the official recordkeeper for the presbytery and advises the presbytery, its leaders, and its congregations on process and polity. A native of Mississippi, Andy previously served as pastor of a small church in Queens, New York City, as Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of New York City, and on the staff of New Hope Presbytery in eastern North Carolina.

If you are unable to join us tonight, keep in mind that we post recordings after the gathering. You can access past recordings and resources that are suggested by the presenter/facilitator from the button on this page: https://www.synodofsouthatlantic.org/small-and-mighty. We also post info about the upcoming gathering when that is available.

If you have interest in learning more about the Association of Smaller Congregations or have questions about this Small and Mighty Zoom Gathering, please reach out to ASC President, Caroline Dennis at cvdennis.wpcgwd@gmail.com.

Your registration for the Small & Mighty Conversations gets you this monthly invitation to join the conversation. You aren’t obligated to attend every session. Not every topic will suit everyone. No one keeps attendance so, no excused absences necessary! And . . . it’s zoom.

We hope to see you there!
