How Good It Is to Center Down

An Invitation to Share: A Retreat for Black Men Seeking Rest, Clarity, and Renewal
by Brady Radford

As I recently wrapped up a retreat at Ignatius House, I found myself thinking about how many men, especially Black men in our congregations, communities, families, and leadership circles, may need sacred space more than they realize. So many men are carrying a great deal. Some are leading, preaching, pastoring, mentoring, parenting, and showing up with souls in need of quiet rest.

How Good It Is to Center Down is a weekend retreat created especially for Black men, focused on the wisdom and writings of Howard Thurman.

This retreat is for the man who could benefit from solitude, reflection, prayer, good rest, and a renewed sense of God’s presence.

I invite you to consider whether there is a member, friend, colleague, or loved one in your congregation or community who might benefit from this kind of weekend. No previous retreat experience is necessary.
