A native of Atlanta, Georgia, graduate of Atlanta Public School System, and after attending Spelman College, Rev. Dr. Taylor earned a B.A. from the University of Georgia. She was graduated cum laude from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology with a Master of Theological Studies, received the Master of Divinity with high honors from Johnson C. Smith Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center and Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality from Columbia Theological Seminary.

Rev. Dr. Taylor’s ecclesiastical experience as a licensed and ordained Baptist minister includes serving the congregation of Liberty Baptist Church as an assistant pastor for youth ministry and the congregation of Olivett Baptist church as an assistant pastor. She provided counseling and pastoral care as a chaplain at Crawford W. Long hospital. 

Rev. Dr. Taylor is a minister member of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. She has served on various committees and commissions in the Presbytery, Synod and OGA. She pastored the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Decatur for ten years, Church of The Master Presbyterian Church of Atlanta from October 2017 through April 2023 and Northminster Presbyterian Church November 2023 through January 2025. 

She has served the community and advocated for social justice issues by serving on the Board of Directors of The Jerusalem House (now Status) and Clifton Sanctuary Ministries. She holds membership in several professional, civic and ecclesiastical organizations. 

Music, reading, playing golf are her favorite pastimes as well as traveling, and attending plays and concerts.
