Committee on Representation (COR)
Overview: Per the Book of Order, G-3.0103. COR is responsible “to advise the [Presbytery] regarding the implementation of principles of unity and diversity, to advocate for diversity in leadership, and to consult with the [Presbytery] on the employment of personnel, in accordance with the principles of unity and diversity in F-1.0403.”
COR seeks to improve representation in all areas and ways with special attention to those categories mandated in the book of order which are, “race, ethnicity, age, sex, disability, geography, or theological conviction.”
Terms of Service: Three-year term (elected), eligible for re-election for a total of two terms/six years
Meetings:
All meetings will be held virtually until further notice.
Responsibilities:
Encourage individuals and congregations to engage in the life of the Presbytery.
Review rosters for PGA committees, commissions, and teams to analyze the diversity and representation and make recommendations to the Nominating Committee regarding improving representation.
Explore ways to increase diversity of volunteer pool and diverse representation in the life and work of the Presbytery.
